SUGAR MOUNTAIN RESORT: Snowshoe Guided Tours (Part of the Super Saver Winter Fitness Program!) A great way to stay fit during the winter months! Snowshoe tours will be offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3pm and Saturday at 9am and 3pm. Based on instructor availability, additional tours will be given on demand for groups of 4 to 15. December 24 SKI BEECH: Christmas Eve Service. At 4:30 in the Beech Tree Village by the outdoor ice rink, this service is held out of doors, so dress appropriately. All are welcome to join in for a short message of the season and enjoy some caroling before heading home to spend the evening with family and loved ones. 800-438-2093

December 31 SUGAR MOUNTAIN RESORT: New Year's Celebration. A New Year's Celebration Mountain Style. The general public is invited, free of charge; to the torch light parade and fireworks at midnight. A fee as well as reservations for the indoor festivities are required and should be made as early as possible by calling 828-898-4521 x233. We do sell out so make your reservations early!

January 6 SUGAR MOUNTAIN RESORT:  High Country Junior Race Series Giant Slalom. A Giant Slalom competition for all High Country junior racers. Registration if from 7:30am-8:30am. Race start is 9am on Big Red.
January 11 & 25 APPALACHIAN SKI MTN: Fresh Fridays Events 3&4. Get ready for ATP's new signature series, Fresh Fridays. On select Friday evenings all season long, the ATP crew will construct a showcase feature-setup never before seen in our parks. Fresh Fridays will be an hour-long jam session on this setup, open to skiers and snowboarders of all age and abilities. Lots of prizes will be given out courtesy of Boardparadise and registration is free for all participants so come join us!
January 12 SUGAR MOUNTAIN RESORT: National Winter Trails Day.The 13th annual National Trails Day is coming to Sugar Mountain. The event offers children and adults new to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing for FREE. Snowshoe rental and guided tours are free. Tours available at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

March 1 SUGAR MOUNTAIN RESORT: Richard T. Trundy Memorial Sugar Cup Slalom. A Giant Slalom competition for competitors of all ages with at least an intermediate or above ability level. A fun event open to the public. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society in memory of Sugar Mountain's dear friend and former Director of Operations, Richard T. Trundy. 800-784-2768
March 3- End of Season SUGAR MOUNTAIN RESORT: March Madness. Starting March 3, 2008 and running through the end of the season, Sugar will again offer its March Madness rates. March 29-30 APPALACHIAN SKI MTN: The Meltdown Games - Appalachian's last weekend of end-of-season silliness. Cardboard box derbies, Terrain Park Events, the Big Air Jump Contest and their signature Pond Skim/Costume contest. 800-322-2373
